What is the ECO4 Scheme?
First introduced in 2013, ECO4 or The Energy Company Obligation Scheme is a government-funded initiative designed to tackle fuel poverty and make UK homes more efficient. The scheme holds energy suppliers accountable, using the profits they have gained from energy-saving measures to fund home upgrades for insulation and green heating alternatives.
The latest version of the scheme launched in 2022 and is set to run until 2026, offering individuals the perfect opportunity to enhance their properties for a limited time.
What do ECO4 grants cover?
Air Source Heat Pumps
If your current heating system is outdated, you could have a brand-new air source heat pump installed, at no cost to you.
Solar Panels
Start generating your own electricity with solar panels, funded through the UK government’s ECO4 scheme.
Boiler Upgrades
Boiler over 18 years old? You may qualify for a new efficient boiler upgrade or first-time central heating.
